You can delete your Aufera account and everything we store about you whenever you like, without asking permission and without giving reasons. It is immediate and there is no going back. Here are the two ways to do it.
This is the quick way, and there is no waiting for anyone to reply:
Before deleting, if you want to keep a copy: on that same screen there is "Download my data", which gives you a file with everything we have about you. After deletion nothing can be recovered.
If you have uninstalled Aufera, or can't sign in to your account, write to us at info@aufera.com from the same address you signed up with, asking us to delete the account.
We do it within 30 days at most, and usually much sooner. We reply when it is done.
We ask you to write from your own address for a reason: it is the only thing that lets us know the person asking for deletion is you and not someone else. If you write from another email account we will have to verify it some other way before deleting anything.
| Your profile | Email, username and everything you filled in when creating the account. |
| Your synced library | The titles, authors and chapters that were stored in the cloud. |
| Where you were reading | Your progress in each book. |
| Your ratings | The tracks you marked and the skipped tracks of each book. |
| Your balance and history | The soundtracks you had left are lost, along with the history of what you bought, spent or got back. What you already paid is not refunded for deleting the account. |
| The books you asked for | Your request for each soundtrack. And if one wasn’t ready yet and nobody else had asked for it, it is cancelled and the text of the book you sent is deleted. |
| What you wrote to us | The messages you sent us from “Tell us”. |
It is deleted immediately and there is no backup to recover it from.
| The books on your phone | They stay where they are: they never left your device, so we can't delete them. To remove them, uninstall the app or delete them one by one from the library. |
| A book's analysis | If you requested a soundtrack, the result of the analysis is kept — the emotional coordinates of each chapter. It doesn't say who requested it and it is not tied to your account: it is information about the book, not about you, and it is what saves the next person reading that same edition from having to pay to analyse it again. The book's text was already deleted as soon as the analysis finished. If someone else had asked for the same book and it wasn’t ready yet, their request goes on: it is theirs, and nothing links it to you. |
| The purchase record | The notice the store (Google Play or App Store) sends us for each purchase is kept for as long as tax and consumer law requires, only to comply with it and handle claims. |
| The phone fingerprint | A digest of the phone’s identifier (not the identifier itself), no longer tied to your account: if it were deleted, deleting the account and creating another on the same phone would give another gift. |
| Anonymous usage measurement | It is tied to a random code your browser makes up, not to your account, so there is no way to find which ones were yours in order to delete them. It is explained in the privacy policy. |
Besides deletion, you can ask us to correct anything inaccurate, object to processing, restrict it, withdraw your consent or take your data elsewhere. All at the same address: info@aufera.com.
And if you think we haven't done things properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
